Judy Millar, 'Giraffe-bottle-gun'

'Giraffe-bottle-gun' was made by Judy Millar for the Venice Biennale in 2009. A huge construction made of solvent ink on vinyl and wood, the work showed the swirling energy of much of Millar's painting. A common device in her work is to wipe or scrape paint off the surface, as in this example.
