Weathering steel bridge

Weathering steel bridge

The New Zealand Heavy Engineering Research Association (HERA) was founded in 1978 to serve research and other needs of metal-based industries in New Zealand. Its members include designers, metal fabricators and suppliers. This is the weathering railway bridge constructed by HERA member Culham Engineering in 2013 for KiwiRail. It is made of corrosion-resistant steel and does not need to be painted.
