Autobiography of a family

Autobiography of a family

Between 1989 and 1992 Lauris Edmond published three autobiographical volumes – Hot October, Bonfires in the rain and The quick world – that traced the gradual breakdown of her marriage alongside her emergence as a poet. In 1992 her son Martin Edmond, also a writer, published The autobiography of my father, an unconventional, elegiac work that gave an alternative perspective on the family's past.
