The handsome premises of New Zealand's oldest daily newspaper, the Otago Daily Times, were built in the late 1920s in Dunedin's Lower Stuart Street. The building was previously the home of the Evening Star, which amalgamated with the Otago Daily Times in 1979. A category-two listed historic place, in the 2010s this building also housed Channel 9 television.
