A delighted crowd of dancers and directors look at an Arts Advisory Council cheque in 1961. The person holding the cheque is artistic director Walter Trevor; with him are Graeme Pickering (ballet master), Russell Kerr (artistic director, 1962–69) and Poul Gnatt (artistic director, 1953–62 and 1969).
