Launch of the 1990 calendar of events

Reesha Solanki (left), in Indian national costume, and Donna Wright, in Welsh costume, are shown here at the launch of the 1990 Commission's official calendar of events. Both Reesha and Donna were from the United Multicultural Group, and their presence at the launch signalled the commission's determination that 1990 would be a celebration of New Zealand's diverse ethnicities and heritages.
