Auckland jubilee procession, 1897

Members of the local volunteer troops lead a large procession towards the Auckland Domain on the morning of 22 June 1897 to celebrate Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee. The military forces were prominent in the celebrations, with volunteers leading processions and conducting exercises. Others in the procession included school children, local politicians and friendly societies.
