Auckland Aero Club boys with model planes, 1947

Boys from the Auckland Aero Club prepare their model planes for take off in 1947. The construction of wooden and later plastic replica models of planes, tanks and ships kept boys amused for long periods of time. Some went a step further and built model planes or boats with working engines, able to be flown or sailed.
