New Zealand Motocross Grand Prix, 2008

Josh Coppins stays just ahead of Cody Cooper in the first heat of the 500 cc International Motocross Grand Prix 2008, held in Woodville, southern Hawke's Bay. Coppins, of Motueka, raced in the world championships in this sport for 11 successive years. He won the 2008 Grand Prix on a Yamaha, with Cooper third. There were also races for riders as young as eight.
