School camp, Upper Hutt, 1995

Form 1 and 2 (year 7 and 8) pupils of St Joseph's School in Upper Hutt, north of Wellington, display the raft they built during a five-day camp on the nearby Akatarawa River. Camps such as this became a routine part of New Zealand school life from the 1970s.
