Barbershop, 1976

Arthur Cooper is shown here in his barbershop in Jervois Road, Auckland, in 1976. At this point men's hairdressing was in decline. Longer hair meant fewer visits to the barber, and without the frequent trims required by the very short hair that had been standard for decades, many businesses closed.
