Wood chopping competition, Étaples, 1918

Wood chopping, a very popular event at rural sports days in New Zealand, was continued by soldiers overseas. This competition is at the New Zealand Base Depot Sports in Étaples, France, on 3 August 1918. The audience includes both soldiers and nurses from the base depot.
