Turner family members

In the first half of the 19th century a number of European whalers and settlers married into the Ngāti Maniapoto tribe. One was William Turner, who married Rangiāhua and then Ripekatangi of Waikato–Maniapoto. This photograph shows Moe Turner (left) and Lucy Turner, a daughter and granddaughter respectively of Turner’s seventh child, James.
