Millie Khan, Auckland, 1990

Millie Khan won silver in the women's singles bowls at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. She was beaten in the final by Geua Tau of Papua New Guinea. Khan won the hearts of the public as a family tragedy – the death of her infant grandson – occurred the day of the bowls final.
