Waihi Borough Council, around 1930

The gold-mining settlement of Waihī had declined in population by the time this photo was taken, around 1930. It shows Waihi Borough Council staff and vehicles (both mechanical and horse-drawn) assembled outside the council chambers and public library in the town's main street.
