RNZAF Corsairs over Guadalcanal, 1944

The Royal New Zealand Air Force made a significant contribution to the Pacific War in the Solomon Islands.  Beginning with bomber reconnaissance operations in November 1942, their involvement expanded considerably. Here New Zealand Corsair fighter planes fly just off the coast of Guadalcanal in 1944.
