Pastor Manuel Renata

Pastor Manuel Renata, of the Apostolic Church, is shown here in 2007. Renata baptised Brian Tamaki in 1979. After Tamaki founded the Destiny Church, Pastor Renata gained the status of the church's kaumatua (elder). In 2005 he ordained Tamaki as first bishop of the Destiny Church.
