Point Ridge is a gated community at Albany on Auckland's North Shore. One of the selling points of gated communities is that they claim to be more secure than suburbs. Critics call them elitist, but those who live in them are often attracted by the resort-type lifestyle they offer, as much as the perceived greater security.
