Salvation Army Māori mission, 1930s

Robert Prowse (standing at left) headed the Salvation Army's Māori mission on the East Coast from 1934 until his death in 1967. Here he takes a Sunday School class in the porch of the meeting house at Tokata, near Te Araroa.
