Coromandel artists: Barry Brickell memorial to Michael King

Historian and writer Michael King lived at Ōpoutere on the Coromandel Peninsula for 10 years until his death in a road accident in 2004. This memorial sculpture to Michael and his wife Maria Jungowska was made by Barry Brickell and in 2008 located in what then became Michael King memorial reserve at Ōpoutere.
