Farming Kiko goats

Farming Kiko goats

Garrick Batten and his wife Anne developed the Kiko goat (kiko means ‘meat’ in Māori) from feral goats, on their property near Nelson in the 1980s. The animals were selected as meat-producing goats able to graze on typical hill-country pastures.
