Hillary and Lowe at Government House

Edmund Hillary (left) was photographed with the governor general, Sir Willoughby Norrie (centre), and George Lowe when they visited Government House, Wellington, on 20 August 1953. After his triumphant return to New Zealand on 9 August he embarked on a three-week lecture tour of New Zealand with Lowe.
