Story: Migrant and refugee organisations

Volunteer home tutor (3rd of 3)

Volunteer home tutor

Denys Taylor is a volunteer home tutor who visits refugees in their own homes to help them learn English and other skills. Here he is with Myint Tun Kyaw from Burma, and her nephew Aung Min Kyaw, at their home in Northcote, Auckland, in 2006. Volunteer home tutors often become close friends of the refugees and migrants they work with.
