David Nathan, merchant

This 1848 advertisement by David Nathan announces a sale by auction of a consignment of goods that has arrived by ship at his Shortland Street sale rooms. He also advertises accommodation aboard the clipper brigantine John Bull sailing that same day for Tahiti. Among the goods to be auctioned are flour and butter from Van Diemens Land (Tasmania), tea, clothes and drapery.
