Several members of the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development are aiming for zero waste. The mountain of used plastic – mainly shopping bags and pallet wrap – the Warehouse sent to Enviroreel each year became thousands of metres of cable covering. While saving money was a motivating factor for the company’s commitment to zero waste, environmental concerns were primary for employees involved in the project.
