Lemon and Paeroa bottle

Lemon and Paeroa bottle

This giant bottle of Lemon and Paeroa stands in the small northern Waikato town of Paeroa. In 1934 the label design for Lemon and Paeroa was registered as a trademark. At the time the name was not, because place names are often not registerable, and neither are the generic names of things like fruit.
