Fisher and Paykel factory

Fisher and Paykel ran an appliance factory at Mosgiel, near Dunedin, for many years. In June 2007 the factory produced its millionth dishdrawer dishwasher. However, a year later the company announced that the plant would close, with production shifted to facilities in Italy, Mexico and Thailand.
