The Toroa (1st of 2)

The Toroa

The Toroa was the last of Auckland Harbour’s double-ended steam ferries still working. It was taken out of service in 1980, and in the 2000s, the Toroa Preservation Society began raising money and working on what was by then a ramshackle vessel.
