Rescuing a horse (1st of 3)

Rescuing a horse

Aside from fighting fires, brigades carry out rescues and assist at emergencies. In 2006 these Invercargill firemen rescued Sandstorm, a 33-year-old horse, from a ditch with the help of ropes and a digger. The horse was firmly caught in a bog and was freezing because of the water flowing through the ditch.
