Peacock Fountain, Christchurch Botanic Garden

Many New Zealand towns and cities have objects in public spaces that were donated by progress groups of the past. The Peacock Fountain was erected by the Christchurch Beautifying Association in 1911, using funds bequeathed to the society by businessman and politician John Peacock.
