During his career Ivan Mauger (far right, wearing the New Zealand flag) was a speedway legend. He is seen here racing in 1970. Mauger won six world speedway championships (in 1968, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1977 and 1979) and three world long-track championships (1971, 1972 and 1976).
