Fay Taylour

Irishwoman Fay Taylour sits on her Douglas motorcycle at Kilbirnie speedway, in 1929. Taylour spent six weeks in New Zealand and rode at speedway circuits in Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland. She challenged prejudices about women competing with men in traditionally male-dominated sports.
