Dugald McKenzie Rose Garden, Palmerston North

Dugald McKenzie Rose Garden, Palmerston North

Located in the Victoria Esplanade, alongside the Manawatū River, the Dugald McKenzie Rose Garden is the site of New Zealand’s rose trials. Varieties of roses bred in New Zealand are grown and observed over a number of seasons to see how well they perform. In 2003 the garden was judged by the World Federation of Rose Societies to be one of the world’s finest.
