Guinea fowl (3rd of 5)

Guinea fowl

Originally from West Africa, a number of guinea fowls were released by the Canterbury Acclimatisation Society in the 1860s. Although some wild flocks have developed, most are domesticated. Their meat is considered to have more flavour than chicken.
