Story: Game birds

Hunting in a game preserve

Hunting in a game preserve

A hunter lines up cock pheasants at a central North Island hunting preserve. Hunters generally move upwind, as the birds take off into the wind. After gaining height, the pheasants tend to turn and glide downwind towards cover.
