These Romneys have been bred from superior rams by the Wairarapa Romney Improvement Group, which strives to increase the productivity of their members’ sheep. The animals are long and broad-bodied. They have tremendous wool cover, yet their faces and legs are clean, so that they can move freely on hill country.
