Gala day, Te Whiti Park

Atiawa Toa FM is one of New Zealand’s premier Māori radio stations. Representing the Wellington tribes, it has been broadcasting since 1993. Every year it holds a gala day, Te Rā o te Raukura. In 2004 this took place at Te Whiti Park in Lower Hutt, and the band Nesian Mystik (pictured) was one of the groups providing entertainment.
