Daffodil capital

Daffodil capital

Carterton’s spring daffodil festival, where crowds pick flowers in the fields of a local farm, began in the 1920s. The town now promotes itself as New Zealand’s daffodil capital. This sign, planted with daffodils, is at the town’s southern entrance.
