Story: Screen industry

Cowboys of culture

Cowboys of culture (1991) was director and writer Geoff Steven’s take on mid-20th-century film-making in New Zealand. His documentary ends with 1981 – the year when five feature films were released and, arguably, New Zealand’s screen industry was established.
