Roadside Stories: Wellywood

Sometimes dubbed ‘Wellywood’, Wellington is home to a flourishing handful of movie-making facilities, most of them associated with Lord of the rings and The hobbit director Peter Jackson. These include model and special-effects studios Weta Workshop and Weta Digital. The Weta Cave is a museum and shop featuring Jackson’s work.
