In the early 2000s, New Zealand's four official statues of past prime ministers are sited within a short distance of each other in central Wellington. Statues of John Ballance and Richard Seddon were located in Parliament grounds and that of Peter Fraser in front of the old Government Buildings (now the Victoria University law school), while a statue of Keith Holyoake stands in front of the former State Services Commission building in Molesworth Street.
