This graph shows the difference between the Māori male workforce and the Pākehā male workforce in 1926. Almost 70% of Māori males were working in primary production or as labourers. 60% of European males worked in industrial, public administration and professions, transport and communication, commerce and finance and domestic and personal services, whereas only 16% of Māori males worked in these areas.
