Promoting holidays: a summer break

From 1927 the New Zealand Railways Publicity Branch began campaigns to persuade people to travel by train rather than car on their holidays. This 1930s poster depicts the range of possible summer destinations, and suggests the economy of rail in comparison with car travel.
