'Aotearoa' in Te Korimako

In 1882 'Aotearoa', Thomas Smith's Māori translation of 'God defend New Zealand', was published in Te Korimako. The version shown includes a number of changes made by Te Korimako editor Charles Davis. His suggestions were not taken up, and the original Thomas Smith version continued to be used unchanged in the 19th century.
