Wheel estate

Wheel estate

In the early 2000s house prices rose to such an extent that they became unaffordable for many first-time buyers. This 2007 cartoon satirises the situation as a wheel or vicious circle in which first-time home buyers become luckless victims of a housing market that favours property speculation.
