Prospective coat of arms: second finalist

This is the second of three drawings in a 1908 competition that were sent to Britain to be assessed for a possible coat of arms for New Zealand. This design contains some of the elements – such as European and Māori figures – that were included in the coat of arms that was eventually adopted.
