Leading figures in the Salvation Army's mission to Māori gathered in Christchurch to celebrate the church's sixth anniversary in New Zealand. They are (back row, left to right) Mere, Major Rolfe, Colonel Taylor and Captain Nicholls; (front row) Utiku Te Rangi Hikohia (known as Miro), Captain Holdaway, Maraea Te Kehu Te Waitaruna Tamatea and Piripe Pauro Tutawha; (seated in front) Tamatea Aurunui.
