Grey-headed albatrosses tend to breed in mixed colonies with Campbell and black-browed albatrosses. They have a grey head and a black bill with orange-yellow ridges on the top and bottom. The eyes have a white crescent at the lower back edge. They weigh about 3.6 kilograms.
