Buddhist priests

Buddhist priests

The Auckland Vietnamese community established an association in 1988 and initially worshipped in a small house in Ōtāhuhu. By the 2000s the community’s place of worship was the 4,000 sq m Giac Nhien Temple, also in Ōtāhuhu. These priests, photographed in Auckland in 2001, pray facing the Buddha statue in the temple’s main hall.

Dear Sir, My name is Patrick Favro, and I'm doing research on Buddhism in New Zealand. I'll stay there next July (from 5th to 24th). If possible, I would like to meet you or a representative of your Vietnamese community for an interview. I speak French and English only. Many thanks for your reply Yours sincerely Patrick Favro

Hi, I have a friend that immigrated to New Zealand in 1989-90 from Pulau Bidong, Malaysia refugee camp. Do you know much about the Viet Community in New Zealand? What is the best way to find someone there? Thanks.
