Leaping into KiwiSport

Kaya Lal (front), Casey McLean and Noah Clark leap at the launch of the KiwiSport Fundamental Skills Programme at Fernlea School, Wainuiomata, in November 2010. KiwiSport was introduced by the Hillary Commission in 1988 to teach simplified forms of sports to primary-age children. In 2010 the Hutt City Council received $334,000 to support the programme in 60 Hutt Valley schools, including Fernlea.
